||| These beautiful bracelets were given to me and the rest of the guys in Swervedriver by Elizabeth and Claire from Basic Nature upon our arrival in Winnipeg… They read BN<3SWERVEDRIVER and I've swam in the Pacific with it, worn it on a terrifying cable car ride up a mountainside in Hong Kong to visit the Big Buddha.. Hell, I even punched Pete Doherty's stupid face out with it on and it remained intact. So go and check out these girls' great music now!

||| I've been to lots of your shows but there's one that really stands out for me. It was the Big Fun show at the Handsome Daughter last year. I remember it being completely packed in the venue and that it seemed like everyone was behaving really strangely.

Your set was nothing short of the spectacular that it usually is, but I vividly remember you playing a new song near the end (or maybe it actually was the last song) of the set. As the song progressed, it felt like the walls of the room were expanding and that there was more room to breathe and these feelings of normalcy and comfort returned.

That's what I like so much about your music: that you have the ability to palpably change the mood of a room.

||| Love the music, your bracelets, your merch, your aesthetics, your spirit and love your band name (good band names are really hard to think up...)

||| I feel so good when I'm wearing a Basic Nature bracelet, home made goodness all over me.

-I swear I heard someone

say that once somewhere |||

||| Basic Nature is ethereal and profound. Every song I have heard of theirs is distinctive, poetic and powerful; gently transporting me to dimensions that exist in both reality and fantasy. Their vocal melodies and harmonies are especially stunning and I would best describe the two members as musical soulmates. Definitely my favourite band in Winnipeg and I look forward to what their future has in store.

||| On Circles and Lines....This music passes through me like a dream half-remembered. The guitars shimmer, the drums thump and throb and the words, cooed hauntingly, they float by and land somewhere beautiful and mysterious. I am under this band's spell and after 1 listen you will be too....

||| ... Every time I see or hear something new from them (Basic Nature),  it manages to exceed my expectations and blow my mind. (Debut) Circles and Lines is a great example of this, it’s so well crafted and beautiful that it sucks you into it's atmosphere and demands that you devote your full attention to it.

||| Seeing Basic Nature perform is like being in an ocean. Does that make sense? It does to me, and it does to them I'm sure.

-I also think I over heard

that somewhere |||

||| Oddly, you blew ME away! Also, I bought a bracelet you ladies made and it instantly brought me good fortune! The winds are changing!
